Passenger side footwell padding

Featured Replies

Hi, no matter what I do with this piece of padding it will not stay in place. It insists on falling out of the passenger side console seconds after I put it back :fubar:

Could someone please help with what can I do to stop the blasted thing falling out

Put it in the boot, they all fall out.

Thats cos its totes Knack! New, they are a fair bit stiffer!

They only cost about a fiver for this and also the right hand side one, which is even spindlier. I replaced mine a few months ago so they should easily be order able from the dealership and new ones won't fall out too much. Just make sure to remove and refit them yourself when changing the pollen filter.

Hello! I'm having the same issue with mine now, it was all fine and went back in no problem after I changed the pollen filter myself earlier this year but someone's just done some work on the car and now the blasted thing keeps falling out. Mine looks much tidier then the one above and still feels quite firm on the edges but I can't get the bugger to stay put! Did you manage to get a replacement and did it stay up? I don't know what to search for when ordering the part, does anyone know what this piece is actually called?

I have the same issue with my 2013 Fabia Monte Carlo. Sometimes it'll go in and stay put for months, even a couple of years. This time however, it just wont stay put. I might try with some kind of adhesive tape, otherwise I'll put it in the boot!

Never fixed it. My mechanic said it doesn't serve any particular purpose and told me to chuck it in the bin, so I did reluctantly! Hate things not working properly.

Incidentally, the last time the padding fell, I found this in the footwell. I assume it might be some kind of clip or fixing though I might be wrong...

Regards the post above:

A quick Google of the part number told me that the clip is in fact used to retain the pollen filter cover. Courtesy of youtube, the clip is now in it's rightful place, and I now know how to fit a new filter - 2 minute job!

Ooh. Thank you. Any chance you could post the YouTube link and part number for that bit, I don't recall seeing that floating around so maybe it's always been missing in mine! Useful to know. Thanks

Sorry I don't know why I added in my previous text I obviously clicked something incorrectly!
