Monte Carlo exhaust

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm returning to Fabia ownership after 6 years with a VW cc. I've had a MK1, MK2 vrs and I'm getting a 2017 dsg Monte on Friday.

Does the Monte Carlo have a different/ louder exhaust than an SE as it sounds louder?

I've searched high and low but can't find any reference to it

Thanks,

Mike.

I would like it to be quieter, not louder so I'm wondering if the standard exhaust is different to the Monte Carlo.

hmmm my Redline was super quiet which is why i went for a straight through cat back stainless custom exhaust

As far as I am aware the SE and the Monte exhausts are identical (As are the engines).  Would it be that the previous owner has altered it in any way?

I guess that's a possibility, I'll have a look at the exhaust when I collect it tomorrow. It's a dsg and was revving very high in sport mode. I also test drove a manual 110bhp but obviously didn't redline it.

It will have been holding the RPM more in Sport.  That being the point of it.

Gear changes later.
