Was driving at night using the satnav on Amundsen i noticed the brightness of the navigation display changes on its own - while always on the night mode. Does it detect the ambient lighting and do auto brightness like a phone? Or has it just gone crazy?

Can say I've ever noticed it change when in either day or night mode

I think it was in the navigation, settings. There's the option in there for auto, day or night

Mine does fluctuate more at Dusk/Dawn when auto lights go on and off more often. All the time when stop/start activated

Thanks for confirming that. I don't remember the circumstances when mine did it but at least now I know I'm not nuts.
