Just bought a 1.5tsi DSG with a few extras ....

Featured Replies

Just thought I'd say hello ... been on the forum for over a year now and very recently sold a very nice Superb 280 Sportline Combi due to combination of issues , mainly not compatible with my 'second driver's preferences' and desire to keep my licence :)

Have an Edition 1.5tsi DSG in Moon White arriving over next couple of days ,  just over 3 months old with 3000 miles and ex Skoda UK . Has a couple of nice extras over the already very comprehensive spec. these being Canton Sound and Adaptive Cruise .

Will be a much better practical solution to the family needs and to be honest having driven one .... I like it a lot !

Congrats Boxerdog1, I'm certain you'll have no regrets getting the Karoq, especially in the Edition trim - it's got more toys than Toys R  Us had !!

Congrats Boxerdog1 sure you will love it. That is exactly the same spec as I have

Picking the little beastie up tomorrow ... nice 'getting to know it drive' from Oxford down to West Cornwall .  Possibly better fuel economy than my previous Superb 280  :)

I long hot run when new will do the new engine good. I picked my new Roomster from Portsmouth and drove home to North London (around 140 odd miles). I only averaged 47mpg doing between 50 to 60mph. As the engine travelled more miles over the coming months the mpg improved.

Picked the Karoq up yesterday and had a very nice 250 mile drive back to West Cornwall.  Cannot fault it in any way and the adaptive cruise made the drive all the more relaxing.  Lights are brilliant too , probably best I've experienced.

Following your experiences Boxerdog - we are looking to replace the missus's Yeti with a Karoq next year.  I'll be keeping the 280 though :)

We are looking at an SE L and adding a few bits, one of which was adaptive cruise as like it in the 280.  is it as good in the Karoq as the Superb, doing all the 'folllow to stop' stuff etc? and does it have a third stalk like the Superb?

Hope you are enjoying the new toy :)

Would highly recommend one edwards ,  drive back from Oxford was great and to be honest I didn't miss the extra 130ps too much !!    Adaptive cruise is identical in both cars with third stalk and follows to a stop etc .  The 1.5 tsi with 150ps matched to the 7 speed DSG is surprisingly quick although biggest change is economy , I managed just over 42mpg coming back at 80 ish average .

The Moon White really suits the car too ... did you specify this on your 280 ?

Although missing the 280 a bit , I can still get a bit of an adrenaline rush with by 'modified' 27 year old MX5 , especially round the twisties down here.

By the time you are looking to change availability should be better and of course the Sportline Version will be around :)

Oooh, thats good to know!  We are looking at a 1.5 dsg as well, but we like the flex-whatsit rear seats on our Yeti and want them again so it would need to be an SE L or edition. The sportline looks like its only in diesel at the mo and you don't get the flex-whatsit seats so I think thats probably out :(

We'll be going for the plain white whatever that is (Candy white?) same as the 280. I have a totally irrational dislike of metallic finishes on cars. Weird I know, but I've been called worse :)

Good you've the MX for a bit of fun - I have a pushbike for fun, 45mph downhill on that will keep the adrenaline up!

Finally had a nice dry day yesterday to clean the new motor , having acquired 850 miles of mainly motorway grime in the space of 4 days .   Followed by a coat of Collinite 915 Wax which has brought up the Moon White finish a treat :)
