Blowing cold air??

Featured Replies

Hi all.

My high mileage Octavia 1.6 tdi has started blowing cold air thru the vents.temp gauge is fine.even turned full hot it stays cold??

Heater matrix blocked??

Car is well serviced and out of the blue this happened.no loss of water??

Would have thought its more likely an issue with the heater flap motor. Id get the fault codes checked and run a basic setting adaptation on the flap motors, see if anything flags up.

Heater matrix is easy enough to check. With the vehicle at operating temperature check in the inlet and outlet hoses are the same temperature.

Thanks.im now occasionally hearing a sort of ripping sound behind the dash for a few seconds?

Like a tiny jet of high pressure water hitting a plastic sheet.turn off ignition for a few mins and hot air again???

Confused???

Sounds like a flap motor issue to me.
