Reverse Light Switch

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

Can anyone help with a little problem I have with my daughters Citigo (2012 model). The reverse lights do not work. I have checked the fuse (fuse 18 in foot well fuse box) and have replaced bulbs. I would like to check out the reverse light switch but cannot find it. Can anyone help locate it? Pictures would help.

Thanks

The reverse switch may be on the top of the gearbox - under the bonnet to the right of the engine.

Or it may be on the bottom of the gear lever, possibly accessible from under the car.

I'm not sure of its location, but there will also be a neutral switch to indicate when the transmission is in neutral.

The auto box may also have a starter inhibitor switch, to prevent starting in gear.

So you need to check that you have the right switch.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi Snaefel

You were right. It was on top of the gear box to the right of the engine. It must have taken a knock as the switch housing was damaged. Replaced the switch - all is now well!
