Auto headlight kit from China, no Auto function actually working...

Featured Replies

I know this has been discussed various times but I see everyone has managed to set it up successfully but I am really getting wound up I cannot get this to work...

So I bought an Auto light switch and sensor from AliExpress, I know others with the same car as mine who have done it and it works with no issues.

All set up correctly but the auto function does not work, everything else works and switching sidelights, headlights etc on and off manually all work. The LED on the Auto on the switch does not light up and the lights do not come on. All I can think is the sensor that detects the daylight or lack of light is not working.

My car is a 2010 VRS facelift.

Can anybody please help?

Post in the MK2 section for a 2010 and you might get the right help. MK3 is 2013 onwards :)

Oh I thought I had, cheers!

I have just bought a switch without the sensor, I have a sensor on the screen, not fitted yet as I need to wire in an extra wire to make it work, from memory my connector has 9 wires and not the 10 needed, that is probably your problem.

Look elsewhere on the forum; all the info is there.

Thank you,

I don't think it's a sure thing as I know another 2 people with the same car and same exact unit.

Thanks I'll keep looking!
