CD Bolero stop autoplay

Featured Replies

Hi is there anyway to stop the bloody CD player from auto playing?

The other half is complaining that she hears the CD start playing everytine she turns the stereo on.

Surely there must must be a way but I can’t see anything in the guide.

Shes heard the same song everyday for the past 6 months lol.

Take the cd out?

Select radio?

Turn off?

I recall mine carried on what it was doing when last used

Yes.

Use the on off button as it is designed!

Thanks will try that

If it was last on radio, I'd expect it to continue playing the radio the next time it's started :/

I think there's a CD in mine but I've not actually heard it in months...it just starts up on radio or SD card, whichever was playing when I last switched it off.

If the unit is set to radio BEFORE the car is turned on then it start with the radio when it is restarted.

It is programmed to start with whatever it was set to when it was last turned off.

If this unit is misbehaving maybe a reset is worth a try?

Ok I think it’s sorted.

I removed all 6 CDs and turned it over to radio and powered off stereo.

I powered it on again and sure it enough but went straight to radio. I loaded the cds again and nothing started playing....good.

I played the cd and it worked.

I switched to radio and then turned off.

Turned on again and now radio plays even though all cds are in there.

All good for now.

Cheers all.

If you are listening to a CD at the point when you want to turn off the stereo then I think that pausing the CD playback will mean that it will still be paused when you power it back on.  It certainly works that way on my 2017 Bolero when playing back from the SD card (it doesn't play CDs).  In fact, it's the only way that it will reliably remember which track on the SD card was playing when it was switched off.   But that's another issue.  Aaanyway...it might mean that you don't have to have the radio come on just because you don't want the CD to autoplay.

(Alternatively, you could point out to SWMBO the  location of the pause button...)

You could change to the radio to hear the news or a traffic report. When you go back to the cd it continues from where it stopped, as does the SD card

Ok I will try that if it gets stuck on playing CD again everytine we start the car.

i stopped the CD playing but now it pairs  phone and then plays media from phone everytime.  Arghhh!!!

if mine has a CD in and was shut off with it in...it starts playing CD when next i use the car

i see the display saying loading or whatever so my push FM or discharge the CD...but then its waving in the air

my wife always leaves the CD in...so i am prepped for that...i listen to FM or a CD of MY!!!! choice but wouldnt leave it in as my wife would clash it in the glove box with the other loose CD's...i dont have a changer obviously...but keep my two very cherished classical CD's on my side in their boxes...hidden...she wouldnt like them any way

cheers

geof
