traction Control

Is Fabia TC system more subtle than the tavia set up. Currently, my right foot is the TC device. Should I happen to heavily plant my foot on the gas then TC kick in and after a few metres of progress the car proceeds to lurch as the engine cuts the revs and progress is halted leaving me feeling like a right plonk! T'was like this with original spec engine, and (obviously) no better (nor worst to be fair) with turbo/remap conversion. Other than practice, is there a secret to a nippy get away in the dry or wet. I currently switch TC off and exercise caution to prevent wheel spin galore (in first and second). I suppose I need 4x4 drive don't I
