Octavia light issues

Featured Replies

Hi everyone i need some help ive got a 2010 octavia and the lights are acting up my light failure lamp comes on and i only have opposite side lights working 2 brake lights and opposite indicaters (front left and right rear ) and my right hand headlamp does not work nor does the running or fog lights ive plugged it in and no fault codes are showing ive tried replacing all fuses and bulbs and a new battery for the vehicle any ideas there is another listing on here with the same issues from last year but no answers on it any help would be great cheers

Check you've used the correct bulbs, twin filament bulbs are type 566, not type 380. Front indicator are single filament 581 type with single contact and offset pins.

What are you using to read the codes?

If the light failure lamp is on, there has to be at least one lighting related fault code... Given the number that have failed it sounds like a fuse or water ingress in the engine bay fuse box.

Hi,

there was a common fault with one of the fuse holders in the engine bay on this model that causes the exact issue you are seeing.

It is a green fuse on the row nearest the windscreen and you will see the connector will be discolored, if it is not too bad you can clean it and all will be good.

if not you may need to get a second hand fuse box.
