MAF SENSOR LOCATION ON SKODA OCTAVIA 2007 1.6 PETROL

Featured Replies

Hi all, the text below was posted by another user and nobody replied((((. Unfortunately I've got the same problem. Is it possible to help me please with a picture wher to find This Air Flow Meter on a 2007 Skoda Octavia 1.6 petrol. Thank you very much!!!!!

Bought a mk2 Octavia (2007 reg) a few weeks ago and it's been giving me some EML-related trouble. Check engine light on, surging and hesitating at 3,000rpm and rumbling when idle. Revs are ok when idle though, they don't go above 1100 when cold and sit around 7-800 when the engine has warmed up.

It's coding for a bank 1 lambda sensor fault at the mechanic, but I want to rule out any cheap causes first before spending ~ €200 on a new o2 sensor. I've replaced spark plugs already and I went to clean the MAF this morning but I couldn't find it! I had assumed it would be just up from the air filter box (see in red), but no sign of it there. Is it in an awkward location on these models?
