Display 'off' won't stay off

Featured Replies

Wondered if there was any way to set the display to off - just displaying the clock - and have that setting stick. I'be found the entry in settings, and it works fine - the main display goes after after the selected time, showing just a clock. I'd like that to be the default, but it reverts to the full-on mode every time you switch off. Older info displays didn't do this - my friend has an Octavia with buttons around the info display, and his is fine. For reference, this is with the 2018 SE-L, 9" Columbus unit.

Which menu's are you adjusting?

This is the important one (last option, currently unticked)...

There are some other similar options, but these two display the clock whilst the infotainment system is turned on and in use. The clock disappears (using gesture control) when your hand approaches the screen....

Once you tick the option 'show clock in standby mode' in my first picture, when the infotainment is turned off you should see this...

You have two more options to choose from by swiping right...

My Columbus remembers these settings.

Those are the menus I've been working with. And it's not sticking.

It sticks for me.

These are both unticked on my car though...
