Octavia mk2 vrs ccm location

Featured Replies

Hi could anybody she'd a bit of light where the ccm is on my 2013 hrs mk2 is please.

Welcome.

A 2013 MK2 Octavia doesn't have a separate CCM. Instead, the functions of the older CECM and CCM are combined into the BCM (body control module). This is located above the pedals in the drivers footwell.

What are you trying to do?

I thought I was clever and upgraded to HIDs but the other day the left indicator has stuck on and iv read a few posts on here that it could be that.

So is it that that I'm looki g for now?

Aftermarket HID kits have a reputation for damaging the BCM. Based on your description, it does sound like you've joined the club :(

You'll either need to replace the BCM or have it repaired by an electronics expert as it's not user serviceable.

If you replace it for a used BCM, make sure it's from a similar Octavia vRS. If it isn't, you'll need to have the lighting configuration corrected which can't be done using VCDS.

I thought it might be you live and learn.lol

Iv had somebody do a reading all ready and it shows the fault but tried to clear it but it wouldn't.

Il go down the route of a second hand 1 and make sure I get the part number first before finding and buying 1.

my friend has all the proper coding/reading kit so it should be ok for him to carry the work out.

thanks for the reply and il let you know how it goes when it's fitted.

It might be worth checking your friend has dealt with the lighting config stuff before.

Ideally, they'll need VCP or ODIS-e to edit the config. Neither VCDS or ODIS-s can access the underlying data in the BCM's EEPROM.

Good luck :)
