Drive door window will not operate - and control unit can't regulate the other windows

Featured Replies

Hi

I have godt a mall function with my Fabia MK2 as stated below - do you think it is the wire system or the window lifter motor?

I can't regulate my driver front windows with the switch unit for power window and I cannot regulate the other windows from the switch unit, but I can regulate the three other windows locally at the switch on the individual doors.

I have check and done the following;

- check the fuse (position 51+ 52  (25A) (okay)

- Loudspeaker, door control/lock, mirror heating ect working

- Inspect the wire connection at pillar-A (look okay)

- install a new Switch unit for power windows (and it still didn´t work)

Will the driver switch unit for power windows not work for all the other windows, if there is a failure at the windows lifter motor for drive windows?

I hope you can help me on this...

Did you check just the connection or all the wires under the rubber protector?

99% of times, your described issues are because some wires are broken. In best case you have wire that is completely broken in half and you can clearly see it, worst case the the shielding is still intact but wire can still be broken, try to find wires that look squashed.
