Featured Replies

does anbody elses furby Vrs or other have a strange draft??? once mine has got warm (sometimes takes ages anyone elses??) its lovely and warm in the car, that is till i turn left then i get a very cold draft kind of hitting right knee and arm, im hoping someone else has it otherwise i think i might have an unsolicited spectre as a passenger.

Indeed it is an observed phenomenon, there was a thread on here describing the same thing within the last couple of weeks.

Have had it in both my Octy and my smart, but no idea what causes it... :)

definately left hand bends mate

Hi,

At risk of sounding daft, I think the reason is that warm and cold air (just like warm and cold water) do not want to mix.

When the car is nice and warm, you will still have areas of colder air - e.g. the passenger side where no-one is sitting. When you turn left, that mass of cold air is pushed towards you and it suddenly feels colder - like a draft..... If you turn right, you will not feel it as that area is warm (because of your own heat) and hardly any cold air is 'trapped' there due to the window and door being there.

Try it with a passenger and see if you still get that draft....

(now runs away and hides :P )
