Wing mirror resetting

Featured Replies

Hi there.

I have recently bought my third Skoda, a 2017 Superb L & K. Overall I love it. However, something a bit strange with the driver's side wing mirror. I have set up and stored the seat position for myself, and I am the only person who drives the car anyway. However, whenever I switch the engine on, the drivers side wing mirror resets itself, so I have to adjust it again every time I drive the car. So far as I understand, I have stored the mirror position alongside the seat position, but it keeps resetting. The other strange thing is that when I rest the driver's mirror, the wing mirror on the other side also moves, so I have to reset that as well. The drivers side mirror does not move when I alter the passenger side. Any suggestions?

For the second part (mirrors moving together) this is an option in the car setting. Just deselect it if it irritates you. Not sure why it isn’t remembering your settings with the seat memory, hopefully someone else will help you. Maybe something to do with the key fob personalisation?

HA!!!!!

I was wondering for years why my passenger mirror always seemed to be out of alignment then one day not sure how I realised that they were both moving, the stupidity of it annoyed me for another 10 years and having recently changed to a MK2 Octavia I was peed off that it did the same thing.

Only 2 days ago I found by chance the setting in VCDS and now for the first time ever I dont get screwed around by the mirrors, think yourself lucky that you found it so quick and have been informed of a solution, I feel mighty stupid for having put up with it for 13 years

Change the driver mirror and the other also moves. Depends on what position the mirror selector is in.

As for the original question.... does it have personalisation enabled? Although if you're using the same key each time I'd have thought that could be ruled out.
