battery cover holder removal

Featured Replies

i need to replace the battery on my mk 2  fabia 1.4 tdi and i cant see how to remove the the battery /fuse holder  cover that shrouds the top of the battery any ideas as i need some it looks a bit overdone to me to do a simple job

Look for a couple of points where the top gets retained onto the battery by part of the cover, ie moulded clips/hooks.

Edit:- they will need to be released using a screwdriver.

On mine, it just clips on and when you remove the pos and neg terminals, it will come off with them.

There is only one bolt then retaining the actual battery and that sits low down, centre front of the unit.

Did you get it done, having same issue. ?

Mine is just plastic clips. It comes off with no problem once you slacken the positive terminal.
