Drivers electric window issue

Featured Replies

Hi

another gremlin with my 2014 Monte Carlo

the drivers side window switch will not put the windows down or up but the passenger window still goes down using the passenger side switch

the passenger side switch on the drivers side does not work either

the fuses all seem good

are the switches a common fault

i have also tried to hold down the unlock button to put the windows down but this no longer works either

any suggestions please

Wiring in the door gap if you pull the rubber bit back you might find broken wires.

That’s great I’ll give that a try

that might explain the non working heated mirrors as well

thanks

Check both sides. The wires snap inside the bellows. Common, well documented issue!

There’s your problem, if it’s still under warranty take it into a dealer if not any decent local auto electrition could sort it out.

Fair play, A lot of other members have had bad issues with this. One member actually stood up fought against skoda and managed to get his fixed under warranty if you have any.

I had this, auto electrician charged me £20 to sort. Not major but still a ball ache of a problem
