What options should I expect from my vehicle?

Featured Replies

Guys,

I have 2009 Mk2 octavia, and I think my car should be a midline a it has 17' alloy wheels, bi-xenon, seat airbags, parking sensor, but it misses sun/moon roof, touch-screen radio, Nav, leather seats, folding mirrors, MFSW, rain/light sensor and some other options. How would I make sure that my car is midline, and how to identify the correct control modules that should be in my car?

Lately, I found that my BCM # is 1K0 937 084 which is wrong for the midline VW. So, I wonder if anyone would help me find the identity of my car (whether it's a baseline or midline).

Please find a recent scan attached.

Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by a midline Octavia?

There are certainly lowline, midline and highline modules but a car will typically have a mix depending on factory fitted equipment.

Also, no MK2 has bi-xenon headlights as only the low beams are xenon. Main/full beam is done by a separate halogen bulb.

That being said, I'd probably expect a bcm ending in 087 when xenon's are fitted.

Thank you for clearing things up.

Yes, my car has 35 W xenon only in the low beam.

My story briefly: I was trying to turn on some features using VAG cable, but the car didn't respond. Yet, some basic features (remote entry, dashboard lights door panel lights) were gone. A friend told me that this happened because I have the base version of bcm in my car (084), and if I mounted the (087) version then my problem will be fixed. So, I wonder if this is correct because the base bcm should do the job since it was factory-mounted in my car (not sure, I bought the car from a dealer).

So, do you think my 084 BCM is okay, or I should upgrade to 087 or so?

Country specific models are determined by your Skoda country manager and will almost certainly differ from those in the UK.

You can see what was fitted when your car was built by looking at the label in the handbook or a copy which is stuck near the spare wheel tray. Each major part or option is given a three character code.

To decode the three character codes, make a search on line for the list or alternately, use one of the many VIN decoders on line.
