A search might be good seeing how many similar threads there are on the forum.

 

So

Petrol or Diesel for which ever car it is needed for.   Cheapest for basic diesels or petrols that run on any old crap.

It all comes from refineries and then Depots.

 

If wanting Premium Diesel then that needs to be from those BP / Shell etc filling stations and standard diesel from a Super Market or 'Big Brand' station is the same stuff.

 

For Super Unleaded rather than 95 Unleaded then Supermarkets filling stations might have 97 Ron Super Unleaded which will be like 97 Super from BP / ESSO etc.

Tesco Momentum 99 or Costco 99 is going to do the same as Shell V-Power 99. 

All will be 99 octane minimum in the UK.  Only real difference being the Super Market Filling station fuel being cheaper than Royal Dutch Shells..
