I recently bought a 2016 SE 1.2 and I’ve noticed a kind of loud intermittent grinding sort of noise coming from the engine bay when my aircon is on. I’m taking it to the dealer tomorrow to get Smartlink activated and I’ve asked them to look at it, but was wondering if anyone wanted to hazard a guess at what it might be.

New compressor required and being fitted as we speak. 

Compressor fitted but unfortunately the system is not holding pressure so Big Red is having to stay overnight :(

 

I’ve got one of the new Fabias as a courtesy car and I have to say I’m pretty impressed with the little 1Ltr 3 pot in it. 

Air con now working and Smartlink installed. Fantastic service from Progress Skoda in Letchworth.
