New Car

About to place an order for a new Skoda Superb saloon SE Tech 2.0 with DSG box, should I wait till Feb next 2019 for better upgrades (maybe External Body or better internal upgrade) or just order now due to possible no change to current specification. Plus, is there any point ordering the rear window wiper for the saloon model? any thoughts would be welcome please.

Cheers

Bryan :-)

You'll miss having the wiper if you don't order it.

Ok, good advice, thank you

Quite a few people say it spoils the 'look' but I personally prefer to be able to consistently see out of the rear view window.

It is a no cost option too.

If in doubt, spec it. It's much easier to take it off if you don't like it than to retrofit it if you find you need it. FWIW this is my third Superb saloon and  none have had the rear wiper. I've never wished I had one or had a problem with rear visibility in the wet.

Generally ordering in February doesn’t get an upgrade, new specs tend to start late May, so you would need a June delivery.

There remains a risk that UK spec cars might not be built in March, (as there is uncertainty over post Brexit paperwork requirements).  Deliveries in April might be sparse.

Lets hope they sort a Brexit deal out then !!! thanks again for the info

Jan 5 this year there was a £650 increase in price. I think beginning of Jan they put the price up along with a spec change. So waiting till Feb might cost you.

Interestingly, my provisional delivery date is 29th March. I wonder?!

You’ll always end up chasing the latest update or upgrade so best just to go with it.  Will be a great car anyway!

As a general guide, always be wary of a date at end of Quarter, 29th is last weekday, these are often holding dates, to be updated later.   An update might change this by a few weeks.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it did change. The last time it was about four weeks later than initially advised.

I only mentioned it, as it is Brexit day :wondering:
