EVEN THOUGH I WILL NOT BUY ONE , do too many miles for petrol , have booked a test drive in a new VRS tomorrow , just to understand what all you New vrs owners are raving about . Need to hold off untill the new Diesel VRS is out i think . !!!!!:rofl:

you shouldnt be dissapointed.

i expected the steering to be 'slack' (no feel, no weight etc) like my sisters mkIV golf, but no, it is much, MUCH better than that.

i also tested a Focus ST, which if i am brutally honest, i think would be the better car to drive when really hammering the road. the 5 pot engine sounds great, and on full throttle gear changes you hear the wastegate chirping, it does feel like a rally car......

but for me the ST had some major flaws, such as it is more expensive, smaller, thirstier, higher insurance and no spare wheel but to name a few.
