Hello from a Superb MK3 owner

Newly joined member!

Picked up my Superb MK3 Storyline 280 recently to replace my 5 year old Honda.

I drive about 5k or less miles per year so looking for something powerful for fun and giggles. With a growing family, it was narrowed down to a Lexus GS450h and a Superb 280. I know it's rare to cross shop these 2 but they are both quick cars.

Test drive both, love the Lexus really but the practicality just isn't there. No fold down seats and saloon boot (decent sized but with a growing family, reckon I'll regret it ), I had to go with practicality, usability. The Lexus is definitely more refined and luxurious but hey ho, I still get a quick car with my Superb and have no worries buggies or luggage won't fit.

So far, loving the new car, ACC is very very nice and the space is incredible. Just under 2.5 years old, 15100miles, hopefully it'll give me many years of fun. Well it is already giving me smiles when I pin the throttle at the expense of some 99ron

Some pictures attached , who knows it might be the previous car of a member too!

Hello Kete welcome alongto the Skoda forum , good to see your happy , good choice . B)

I think the Superb offers the best all round blend of performance, comfort and space - good choice

A warm welcome to the Forum !  Nice photos too.  I tried to look at Lexus but they are too far away and didn't respond to my queries anyway  so I ended up with my Octavia.

Thanks for all the warm welcome. I also looked at a 280SE-L that was 2.5k cheaper , 2016 may registered, 26k miles. Both cars do not have DCC, SE-L rides better but in the end I reckon the storyline looked better and that interior led strip light is just much win. Didn't like cold leather seats as well even thoug front is heated.

Funnily enough the Lexus was way closer to me and really was my first choice but the practicality just isn't there. I had to see it first hand for myself, loved everything about it but still know I'll regret not having the flexibility if I got it. Was more expensive and older too as you can imagine since it was a 55k car when new.

Overall after nearly 2 weeks, I am very happy, as happy as the car chugs 99ron at 26mpg hohoho.

Nice car in a great colour KeteCantek ...... plus a nice Storyline about your Sportline ;)
