2007 Xenon lights fault

Recommended Posts

So the wife's Octavia has developed a weird habit of adjusting the height of the beam whilst driving along...

It might happen 3-4 times on a short trip where the lights appear to go through a 'dip' to high search and then stay up, or even repeats the process before going back to normal (quite quickly - so that oncoming traffic believe they are being flashed at times).  I'm thinking that this might be a fault with the levelling sensor???

Cheers for any insight...

I’m currently dealing with this issue myself. I think I’ve a faulty headlight level range control unit.

Do both lights play up or just the one ?

If it's both lights then I'd have guess at a levelling sesnsor, 1 light then I'd guess at a wiring fault or headlamp motor issue

The rods?

There is a rod on the sensor that Swivels /moves as the vehicle goes up/down hills etc ..... this is what dictates the height of the beam.

If one rod is stuck or loose then this maybe causing your issues
