The blowers on my otherwise faultless new purchase Octavia 1.4 TSI 2012 are wheezy to say the least. It takes forever to de mist the windscreen and the cabin vents do very little either when selected.

 

I’ve seen other posts about a re set. Is this something worth trying on my car?

Do you have a manual or climatronic?

 

As for the climatronic, you can reset this by pressing the AC and directional button simultaniously

 

Does the fan work in all speeds? If you have a manual, does it work in position 1 till 4? (You should be able to hear the fan increase every step). If for example the fan only works in 4, this can be caused by a defective blower motor resistor.
