Vibrations around 2000RPM

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've noticed that my car appears to be louder / more vibration at around 2000RPM compared to 2500+. I've also noticed a slight rattle/gurgling sound when I let off the accelerator for a second or so. The car only does it in gear and doesn't occur in neutral.

The car is a 2005 Octavia 1.9TDI DSG with 125'000miles.

Recently had the Dual Mass Flywheel replaced as it needed doing but hasn't solved the above.

If anyone has an idea of what the problem could be, I'd appreciate your input.

Thanks in advance

Alexander.

I would have said DMF on a manual. But you had that done already. Did you keep DMF or go SMF?

Hi there,

I don't know a great deal about cars but I remember reading on here that on the DSG it could only be replaced with a DMF and not a SMF?

I do recall this was also happening before having the DMF replaced and I thought it could have been that but the problem still exists
