Skoda superb Trouble code p0113 p0238

Featured Replies

Hi guys would appreciate your help . Skoda superb 2011 2.0 tdi Flashing glow plug light couple of weeks ago went into limp mode. would disappear after turn engine on and off and was intermittent . Eventually check engine light came on . After some research map sensor changed for new one , check engine disappeared without erasing . Was running perfectly up until yesterday and glow plug light shows up again went into limp mode. Again disappears after turning engine off and on but much more frequent now .  Have checked wiring around map sensor and seems in good nick . Any suggestions before i take to skoda for a check ?

Both codes refer to out of range voltages coming from the boost air temp sensor & boost air pressure sensor that I belive are located in the same sensor that you have already changed.

So would appear to be either a bad conexion on the plug, or the wiring back to the ECU is defective or has rubbed through against some earthed metal somewhere.

Seems there are two sensors, G31 and G42...

Guys . So this has been an ongoing problem. Coil light (P0236) was coming on intermittently . Took the car to a mechanic who thought was some dodgy wiring which he changed . The coil light comes on after car has been sitting . Driving it with the coil means its in limp mode . Turning it on an off takes it off and drives normally until the coil light comes back on again .

I have already changed the map sensor and am at a loss at to what else it could be . Your thoughts would be appreciated!?

You should really start a new thread as its different codes
Your code is usually the turbocharger boost sensor
Usually a faulty MAP sensor on the PD engines but as you have changed this already rules it out or the wiring is still not correct
i have seen the wiring going hard further up loom and when engine is moving losing signal

More info required What engine do you have and what is the engine code?
