Phone holder

Featured Replies

If your like me and hate your phone loose in the car especially when charging I have found Brodit are now selling a Karoq specific base mount  you just add the cradle for your phone no drilling or screws and is a good fit there is some double sided tape but I haven’t bothered with that

Snap! Have used Brodit holders in 3 cars for 4 different devices. They're a bit pricey compared to 'one fits all' type clips, but as with everything, you get what you pay for.

I also use Brodit, but for my TomTom SatNav. I use the higher mount.

Too low down for me, if using the phone as a sat nav I prefer it up closer to eye level.

Any pictures with the cradle attached?

Just took delivery of a Brodit base mount and phone cradle for Samsung Galaxy S9.

My phone will only be in the car occasionally and is fitted with a glass screen protector and sits in a slimline  Spigen case.

The Brodit cradle is a perfect fit for the S9 but that is of course without its Spigen case so one has to take it out of a tight fitting case to put it in its cradle. The cradle will not accomodate the phone with a glass screen protector fitted either as I found out when I tried to slide the phone into the cradle and the glass protector cracked.

So.....if you need your phone protected in general use, you will have to remove that protection each time you mount it in the car and re-apply the screen protector and case each time you take the phone out. No use at all for my circumstances.

If anyone would like to take advantage of my mistake in buying this I now have for sale, 1x Brodit pro clip mount and 1xBrodit cradle for Samsung Galaxy S9. Cost me £48 with postage, yours for £30 inc postage.

Happy for this to be removed should I have broken any rules in posting.

I'm with Breezy on this one......phones in cases don't normally work with discreet car mounts and the ones that use magnets just make life too difficult for the electronics in the phone........

You can get a brodit holder that can be adjusted to take a phone whith a case I use a Spigen case on an iphone 6 and it fits ok ,you could look at BURY systems they will attach to the pro clip

I use this, stick on with a magnet attachment to my galaxy s9, very secure.

Are mounts like this not a bit redundant now with the advent of CarPlay and Android Auto? I just plug my phone in and fire it in the cubby.
