Owner's manual location

Featured Replies

Just a quick one. Parents have just bought a 2009 1.9tdi 3 Fabia II. They can't find the owners manual. Before I go back to the seller, is this stored in a secret/hidden place in the car as it is in my Passat? An online search brought up nothing. Thanks in advance. PS. Very nice car, I was extremely surprised how good it is.

If it's not in the usual places then you can get the manual with the MySKODA app, that's if they are happy with smartphones!

Cheers, I have the app, but sometimes it's nice to read a good old fashioned manual.

Does it not tell you in the handbook where the handbook should be. :notme:

Thanks AG Faclo

On a Peugeot 306 it does as the handbook is hidden under the passenger seat.

Thanks AG Falco

My guess is that its been removed/lost or kept by a previous owner. They are replaceable but when I damaged mine, (Had it in boot, spilled lucuzade over it), The dealer was kind enough to give me a replacement, without charge. That said, it was a slight different manual for a slightly different year. I didn't want to snub the offer of e free book but overall, I would have preferred to pay the tenner or so and order the correct year's manual.

It is a very common thing to be missing in cars, especially older ones, along with the service history manual.
