Afternoon all, I've just bought my first Škoda. A Rapid Spaceback Sport, 6 months old ex-demonstrator with less than 1400 miles on the clock and with a hefty discount.

 

I've been driving a leased Mercedes GLC so different types of car, but now I am sort of retired I need something smaller and lower cost to run. 

 

So far I am impressed, the spec is good, plenty of toys to play with. I just need to get used to the handbrake, gearstick and sticking a key in a hole again.

Congrats we have gone the other way with the wife's car. Ran a Rapid SE Sport with the Pano roof and 17" alloys in Rallye Green from 2015-2018 and it provided reliable and economic motoring. It's replacement is the medium sized SUV Karoq SEL with electronic handbrake and key less entry and start, but still a six speed manual gearbox. Best we got out of the Rapid was 64.6mpg.
