Can I seek some guidance on selecting the right package please, there's so many packages available with some subtle & not so subtle differences.

 

I've been studying them and now have actually confused myself somewhat.

 

Basically I want it for my car, but mum has a Polo, so could be used on her's too, but with the cost of it, I was thinking that I may be able to help out others a bit later on once I have gained experience in using it.

HEX+CAN is the old interface (cable) which is fine up to 2015 cars, limited after that, the s/h price of them is crazy IMO. 

 

HEX-V2 best budget new interface, get the 10 VIN version straight off if you intend using it on more than 3 cars as it’s the cheapest way to eventually go to unlimited VIN. 

 

HEX-NET if you must have wireless connectivity (can be used with a USB cable as well).
