I've been searching on this but cannot find a definitive answer. 

 

We're going to look at a 2006 Octavia vRS which has climate control with the two little LCD screens above their temerature control knobs and the temperature repeated on the Skoda Stereo screen. 

 

If I replace the stereo with an aftermarket one, will I lose any of the functionality of the climate control or is it just repeated on the Skoda Stereo screen?

 

I know that the Erisin head units have this on them and I might go in that direction,  despite the mixed reviews on them, however,  I might go with what I know and fit a universal stereo in a facia plate that has the features I want for the quality. If I do this it won't mirror the Skoda head unit.
