Playing DVDs on columbus

Featured Replies

Hi there is there anyway you can play DVDs on columbus whilst on the move

For passengers

It's disabled - Video in Motion is not legal in the UK. It is possible to code it using VCDS / OBD devices, but as said it isn't legal and could cause a world of grief if it was found to have been playing when an accident occurred.

VCDS cannot do this, you would need VCP

Certainly not questioning you Gizmo :) but I'm surprised as my Obdeleven has an app (which I've never used) to enable VIM.

So try and find someone with vcp or obd11 whatever they are lol

I've done it today without VCP, just a combination of VCDS and M.I.B. Toolbox  which is software you can put on the SD card. for those like me who have MIB2 or 2.5 HIGH (Columbus). VCDS to enable developer mode on module 5F , then patch ifs root using MIB toolbox, then into the GEM greenscreen developer menu, and it has VIM options to set the speed that the VIM lock kicks in
