Mirrors and windows

All windows close ok with one touch.

My Yeti does allow for folding of Missouri’s when driving when speed is below 15mph (I think) and this does work as I’ve tried it.

I am unable to close windows or fold mirrors from the key fob and have tried both key fobs.

Having put the VIN number into the My Skoda app, it does show thathat I do have folding mirrors.

So it had lost the one touch setting on the windows, as that is what stops them either all opening or closing with the relevant button held down.

Why do you say the app shows you have folding mirrors as you said they will fold from the door switch?

Are you pressing the lock button down on the fob for about 4 seconds when you lock the car?

I do the same but I don't unlock it. One long press for the windows and then another long press for the mirrors.

Hmmm ... You sure?  For me, first click/press closes window(s).  A second click unlocks the driver's door, followed by opening the windows if you make it a press.

Curiouser and curiouser

That will only happen if you press unlock.

So right - my error :blush .  A second 'locking' click actually disables the interior and motion alarm, doesn't it?  That's why it's a straightforward unlock-then-relock job.

My brain hurts :wall:

After trying all sorts and having friends also try to fold the mirrors back using the ke6 fob without success, I contacted the previous owner who is under the impression that this is not possible on what is now my Yeti. It does seem a shame if this isn’t possible though unless someone knows differently.

Having taken my Yeti to the dealer today, they had a play around and stated that my Yeti doesn’t have the facility to fold in the mirrors from the key fob. They did however manage to get my windows to close with the key fob though which is something I couldn’t do before.

So it had lost the one touch setting on the windows, as that is what stops them either all opening or closing with the relevant button held down.

My 2010 Elegance did not have electrically folding mirrors.  My 2017 SE L does.

DRGW did say higher up the thread the (s)he had verified that all the windows were one-touch closing correctly.  However, it's possible that the instructions for verifying that have actually been misunderstood or poorly followed.  (Personally, I've never needed to follow the "while applying pressure on the glass" part of the procedure to get the windows to reset.)

As other have noted above, if the windows are open then closing them will take priority over folding the mirrors as the response to pressing and holding the lock button on the remote.  So I guess the question is: have you verified that the mirrors don't fold if the windows are already closed when you press and hold the lock button on the remote?  You can also try the three-step locking procedure: (1) press and hold the lock button on the remote to lock the car and close all the windows (even if you think they're already closed), (2) unlock the car by pressing the unlock button on the remote, (3) press and hold the lock button on the remote again to see if the mirrors retract this time.

It won't work as described before if one of the windows has lost the one touch function. If your car has electric windows, as all Yeti's do, then holding the lock or open button down onn the remote will open or close all the windows, when they are set correctly.

Mirrors will only fold if the mirror switch has a position for manually folding the mirrors whilst manouvering. If not they don't fold. If it does, I find a second long push on the close button will fold them in. The first long push locks the car and closes the windows?

I am pretty sure my first 2010 elegance did not have the mirror fold, it was an extra, although not that expensive.

My second 2014 and third 2017 Yeti's were specified with electric seats, and that only comes with folding mirrors as an extra as well?

It was something to do with the settings on the display which they played around with.

it appears that my Elegance does not have this feature.

I think this statement confirms that it has (assuming Missouri is some sort of mirror!)

My Yeti does have folding mirrors. Just can’t fold them with the key fob.

Auto correct didn’t like my mirrors and I didn’t notice it was changed to Missouri’s. lol

I had a late 2011 Elegance that did have folding mirrors.

A couple of times they stopped working I needed to reset the windows and then they work again.

I have a 2014 Elegance. Although it is mentioned in the manual, that could be a generalisation as some may and some may not have it. I also have the My Skoda app and putting my VIN number in shows that I should have it according to the manual for my car. As the dealer said it isn’t an option on my Yeti, I’m going with that unless someone knows differently.

I have got a 2014 Elegance at present which also has folding mirrors. You should have them on yours as they were standard equip on the Elegance and L+K models.

That is very strange then. I have tried all the suggestions on here and ones I have found elsewhere and am unable to fold them using the key fob. The fold ok using the control in the car though. Knowing my luck, I’ll forget to do this one day and they get knocked off.

I suggest you find another dealer!
From all the experience of this forum, and from looking at past brochures, if your car is fitted with electrically folding mirrors, then they will fold both form the internal switch AND via the handset.

As well as the key fob feature, you should also be able to use the lock/unlock rocker switch between the front seats too.

Hold the switch in the 'lock' position, the doors will lock, any open windows will close, then the mirrors fold in. At least that's what happens with mine!

Check in the display all doors are set to lock/unlock and the windows set to all open/close.  With the car locked try holding the unlock button on the fob (keep it pressed)  the doors unlock, then the windows should all lower. If any or all of the windows don't open they need resetting.  If they do all open then press and hold the lock button the doors should lock and all windows fully close, then press and hold the lock button again and the mirrors should now fold. The mirrors will not respond to the fob if any of the windows don't close.

I've never tried that!  Something to do in the morning...

Note; Pre facelift yetis will close windows and fold mirrors with one continuous press of the fob, where as the F/L models require a 2nd press after the windows have closed.
