Octavia Vrs overheating

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

I have a 2015 Octavia Vrs that’s done 97k and just developed a problem.

I bought it as an ex demo car and it’s been the most reliable car I’ve ever owned, never had any trouble from it.

The other day I noticed the temperature gauge had just creeped past 90c and went up to around 100c, I found a lay-by and checked all the fluid levels and were all ok, I restarted the car and it returned to normal, this happens everymoring now but only happens the once and is happy for the rest of the day.

Ive plugged it into a snap on scanner and no codes are present, I have read that the electronic water pumps can fail do you think this is what’s happening with mine?

The local Skoda dealer are useless and never taking the car back to them.

Thanks

Try taking it to another dealer for a second opinion, sometimes you can get a better idea and a better service from a dealer a bit further out.

I used to have a Skoda dealer just 5 miles away, but they were rude and arrogant and so I looked for another and that was Garlands in Aldershot 15 miles away and the difference was amazing and I've stayed with them for all but a year ever since.

Assuming it's a diesel, take a look here:

Sounds very familiar TBH
