Some cretin stole my PID unit (but left the stand that connects to the dash).  Can I just pick one up off eBay and plug it in, or does it have to be programmed/linked or something?

You can use any from VW, Skoda or Seat. Reset it by press and hold screen whilst turning on. Connect it to a computer with Garmin fresh software. When you put it back in the citigo it will pick up the Skoda info. You can use one without refreshing, it will still work with the wrong VW or Seat logo. Mine was from a Seat Ibiza.
