Hello.

Our 2006 tdi Octavia has begun flashing both red oil light and the Amber airbag light together.

Happen after about 15 mins of driving.

 

Have scanned for codes and it all pointed to an implausible alternator signal.

 

We changed the alternator and now the same issue is back.

 

Any help is much appreciated

@lancerevo3 - When you switch the ignition on, and before you start the engine, does the battery light come on? If not, then your problem is with the alternator control wires rather than the alternator itself.

Battery light comes on and goes out once you start it.

I'm going check the condition of  them over the weekend .

Is it just the harness around the engine that gives trouble?

 

 

Wiring is intact .fitted a different battery just to rule it out.

Still happens randomly.

 

Any ideas are much appreciated
