Driver's door module problem

Featured Replies

Drivers Door Module.

Need some advise.

So I bought a drivers door module from TPS Nottingham because my motor engineer said that would probably be the most likely cause. It wasn’t it was broken wires which were repaired then connected to the new door module as it is a non returnable part. The problem was not fixed, so the Machanic connected the old module the problem was fixed. Thus new module is a faulty part. I went to return the faulty part back to TPS and they advised me to have the faulty module refitted to my car take it to Skoda who will charge me diagnostic (£90! If it’s faulty change the part, if it’s not charge me for the labour for fitting the part? So I’ll be a further £90 out of pocket.  I argued I bought the part from you (TPS) not VW but they are refusing to help or refund me. Please help. What do I do?

Did you code the new module?

(you will need someone with VCDS or dealer diagnostic equipment to code it)

If not then it wouldn’t work which may be why you thought it was faulty.
