Flexipipe problem

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I've got leaking from my front flexipipe,my question is,....can it be repaired using a kit or is it going to be a very expensive main dealer job! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

flexi on what ?

Exhaust ? then no it's most likely "split" under the mesh, common problem on lots of vehicles.

No reason it has to go to dealer, any exhaust place could supply / fit.

Yes, it's on the exhaust pipe near the cat, they told me I need the full piece, including dpf etc...Which seems a bit excessive for a split piece of flexi  pipe?, Thanks for your reply btw.

What engine /  year / vehicle is it ?

Ha Ha, good try as I suppose that is the official way to sort that.

I got an exhaust frabricator to fix that on a 2002 Polo petrol engine, they used the wrong diameter and length of flexi repair section, so I bought the right part from Senioraftermarket, in my case I asked others on this forum if they could provide me with the correct dimensions, fitting that sorted that exhaust out for 10+ years.

So measure the O/D near he flexi and the overall length of the flexi part and use that when looking for a repair section.
