Key fob not recognised by car

Featured Replies

Skoda superb mk2, 2015..

Hi guys , car been into dealer for a couple of warning lights to be reset.

Got home , tried to lock the car and it won't lock or unlock. I've also tried spare key .

Spoke to dealer and the fella that did it didn't have clue saying that he has to use Google translate as the machine language is in German!!

Told to book it in and hell have a go!!

Please has anyone got any ideas ? I 've tried pressing the unlock button on fob, unlocking car manually then key in ignition method.

Many thanks

Happened on my Mk1 Superb and taking the earth lead off the battery for a few minutes had the desired effect. Not sure what it did, but both Keys started working again immediately after reconnecting the battery.
