Technician near CHeltenham

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Can you recommend me some garage in Cheltenham or near by who would be helpful and could fix my problem on superb MK2 TDI 2.0 CR? I spent £300 quid in Halfords, F1 autocentre and none of them fixed issues.

1.) Brake fluid light is on sometimes ( pads are fine, fluid has been changed) so I guess it might be a wiring problem

2.) I got "Engine fault:Workshop" on when I accelerate and turbo turns on for circa 5 seconds and then it goes to emergency mode. When turn off and on again the light goes away. I was really angry last time it happened on long ride and I put gearbox to S and several times put the engine to red RPMs and since then it did not occur. But I guess it is not a solution and something needs attention(EGR,turbo,DPF...??)

Thanks for any advice

If no one knows of a local garage then have a look at the VCDS map to see who is local. A scan will show what problems there are. Once you have that info at least you can be armed before you talk to a garage.

Halfords and F1 are fine for simple stuff but I would suggest a quick "Google"  for VAG specialists near Cheltenham. I came up with several options. You may wish to give it a try?
