spigot rings

Featured Replies

I have the feeling i am opening up a whole mess or a debate, but here goes!

I have bought some 17" audi wheels to put on my superb with some winter tyres on them, so they will be on from end of oct to march (ish) each year.

when trying them on for size this weekend i noticed that the centre bore is too large.

Is it ok to fit them with the centre bore being too bit, or do i need something like spigot rings to bring the centre bore down to the right size. If so, plastic, metal, are they ok to be used for longer periods of time?

anyone got any advice, or reccomendations of what rings to get?

many thanks

Not advisable without spigot rings to convert from 66.5mm centre bore (assuming genuine OE) to 57.1mm.  A couple of quid on your favourite web auction platform for peace of mind.

There are some Audi wheels with 57.1mm centre bore but a larger CB will give you more flexibility for reuse/resale later.

I used these SPIGOT RINGS to fit the A@£$ wheels:
