Powder coating Gemini wheels (vRS)

Does anyone have any experience of blasting and powder coating vRS Gemini Anthracite wheels? I'm not a fan of the diamond cut look and am toying with the idea of having them done all grey.

In theory, it's a very similar process to a standard alloy. It's just a case of smoothing down the cut section to remove it. Then once that's removed, it's just sandblast, paint and lacquer.

 

It's the repair of diamond cut alloys when the extra hassle comes in. You need a lathe to cut the alloy and that's a pain to get right. They normally sand it all down and start fresh.

What!? blasphemy! my twist on it

The wheels on mine had been refurbed all in gunmetal grey before  I purchased it and I think it looks great against the black paintwork and removes the concern of corrosion under the lacquer.

 

The car is filthy at the moment, otherwise I'd grab a photo for you but here's the video the garage did of it before I bought it:
