As per the title what does the CR mean is it a later model engine?

Moder diesels have what’s known as Common Rail high pressure fuel supply .

All Yeti diesels are CR-type (as opposed to the older PD design type).

Thanks chaps, so CR is common Rail ..... The old PD engines were bombproof.

My Yeti 2 ltr SE 4x4 2010, never missed a beat in the eight years I had it. Oil changed every year by myself ( so I knew good stuff was going in ) Fantastic engine.
