DQ200 Clutch Replacement

Featured Replies

Good evening/morning!

I've just received my Octavia back from service after the mechatronics replacement. Everything is fine with it now thankfully. However, unfortunately, the clutch on it is gone - it was already pretty bad before my mechatronics gave out, but by the time I managed to safely pull over the clutch was well roasted. They made a comment about how the clutch is not far from it's end of life, and quoted me $4000 NZD to do it.. Nevertheless, I'm looking at options for clutches. It is the DQ200 transmission (dry clutch ). I've had a look at Dark side's kits but they don't seem to offer one specifically for the 1.6 Tdi with the 7 speed, only the 6. I'm wanting something that isn't rubbish quality, but also doesn't cost half the car's value.

Anyone have any suggestions for clutches?

Exact model: 2011 Skoda Octavia, 1.6Tdi. 7 speed DSG: OAM/DQ200.

Thanks!

Did you find out if your car was recalled by Skoda NZ in 2012 and received the Service Campaign actions, so a new Mechtronic Control Unit, Mineral OIl and a Software update?

Did Skoda NZ / VW give a Warranty Extension in 2012 on DQ200 DSG's in New Zealand?

In the UK is is around £1,700 to have the clutch packs replaced with OEM.

Hello again Skoffski, I'm still trying to contact the old Skoda service up north that did all prior servicing to my ownership. However, my guess is not. I know I got the software update but not a new Mechatronics unit. Skoda seems to be awfully quiet in regards to the matter, however. I'll let you know when I find out any details! :)
