Dipping Mirror Issue

Featured Replies

Been having issues with my N/S mirror dipping not returning to its original position post reversing, so car has been in to the dealer a few times to fix. The upshot is that there is a software issue affecting a number of cars (mine included) & the problem is now back with the factory to issue a software patch to make it work.

It is not an issue with the mirror/motors, its been confirmed as a software issue.

Wanted to flag in case of others having the same issues

That's interesting... mine was fine to start with, then a few months ago it started doing what you describe. However, after going through the whole process of setting up and storing both the normal and dipped positions again, it's been fine since.

Mine has never worked correctly. It sort of limps up about a 1/3rd the way back. But if you move it manually it’s totalty fine! That’s why it’s not the mechanism.

its taken 3 trips to the dealer to get it confirmed. They even gave me a copy of the transcript between the factory and the dealer.

one of those items requested was to reset software and then leave battery off car overnight. That didn’t fix it either!
