PD130 swap into PD90 octavia

Featured Replies

I have bought a Golf Mk4 1.9 TDI ASZ and am looking to put it in my  53 plate 1.9 TDI Octy and use a Blacksmoke Map to get it to around 180 BHP

I was hoping someone on here would have experience of something similar and be able to help make this swap run as smoothly as possible

Will it fit straight in the hole my PD90 comes out of?

Can I keep the 5-speed box and if so what is the clutch I'd want to use between them?

Would a Golf performance exhaust fit easily under my car?

Any help on this would be much appreciated

With the time and effort involved - would it be cheaper to get a remapped pd130 ?

apologies as it may not be as helpful.

Only ask as I'm planning on shifting mine when the mk2 gets back from the mechanic.

edit: I see you've already bought the engine. never mind!

and a flash map and cables are £60

I got the engine cheap

love the rest of my car

and my mate is a mechanic with a 2 post lift and some free time

this seems the most cost effective way of getting double the horses
