Increase legroom for driver, fabia estate

Featured Replies

Hi

I would like to increase the legroom for the driver of 2011 Fabia estate

Presently the seat is pushed back to the stop. Is it possible to move the seat in situ by adjusting the mounting bolts

of the assembly etc.

I think there are two sets of bolt holes which may give just a few more inches or so. I know I had my seats off the floor to fit undersea boxes and my passenger sit can go further back then the drivers one so my basis is on this. I thinkI set them differently, unless this was the norm, to start with. I never noticed it for ages, hence the uncertainty.

Slide both seats back and see if they go equally or not. If they do, this may be what happened, if the passenger seat goes further back, it was how it was meant to be. I am sure though, there seems to be an additional set of bolt holes.

Also, the lowering ratchet automatically moves the seat back as it lowers, so a lower seat will sit further back, a higher one will move forwards. Just a bit but if you kept it high, for observation reasons, try lowering too!

That's interesting, I didn't realise the seat could be adjusted height wise :)

Crank lever just on the door side of the seat. Ratchet up to go up, down to...Well, you know the rest!  I am unsure as to if all models have passenger side adjusters as well (My Greencline does) But think all have drivers side ones.

Hi All

Guess I will have to get the seat out when I have time and re-engineer the seating system . I think it is a design fault when the seat height adjustment reduces the horizontal travel of the seat configuration
