Picked up my new Edition Karoq yesterday. The dealer was very keen for me to register with Skoda connect - which I did and got the code and put it in the car.

 

However in the skoda connect app, whilst it sees my car I cannot do anything. I have no options other than find an official service provider. I was expecting to be able to remotely find my car, beep the horn etc....

 

Is this functionality not available - I seem to only have infotainment and not the care connect/remote access features?

 

Did you add Care Connect as an option?

I had the same issue after picking up a new Octavia on Saturday.

Salesman said register and get lock status, find your car etc

After registering just got the infotainment like you.

After reading posts on here and contacting Skoda customer service you only get the infotainment features if you did not spec Care Connect, and there does not appear to be a way to upgrade.

Salesmen seem to be giving bad information!! 

I don't mind not having the features as did not spec them but was excited about them after what was told at the dealers then disappointed that they aren't available.....the app even taunts you to upgrade for lock status, which you can't!!!!
